Kundalini Yoga Mantras

Kundalini Yoga mantras activate anatomical alignment with universal energies. Mantras work through the vibration of the sound being created. The Adi Shakti mantra is a basic mantraalignment with the universal vibration.

EK ONG KAR SAT NAM SIRI WHA HE GURU

The Adi Shakti Mantra is the first mantra taught by Yogi Bhajan. introduced into the United States in 1969. Yogi Bhajan gave it to his first student with the intention to resolve problems with her son. He advised her to chant this mantra everyday and the problems would eventually resolve. And over a period of just a few months, they did.

Practitioners can experience powerful effects by including the Adi Shakti Mantra as part of our morning meditative practice. It is recommended to include approximately 7-11 minutes of this mantra in your daily practice.

EK ONG KAR SAT NAM SIRI WHA HE GURU

This is one of the most powerful Kundalini Yoga mantras.

EK – one, oneness, unity

ONG – the force of creation that exists everywhere

KAAR-the doer of everything

EK ONG KAAR – The creator creates everything from the universal vibration. The creator and creation are one.

SAT- this is unchanging truth

NAAM – the Name, the Word, to evoke or call upon this truth

When we experience the truth of EK ONG KAAR SAT NAAM, we witness the supreme truth beyond illusion and we vibrate with and experience our oneness with all that is.

Siri – great, awesome

Wha he Guru – ecstasy, this experience of oneness brings me the ultimate joy.

This experience is my Guru

Perceptual Shift in Our Neutral Mind

To access the higher truth of EK ONG KAR, the practitioner must open up the lens in their neutral mind. Regular practice of Kundalini Yoga awakens the neutral mind where the practitioner can access the uncluttered place where they are able to experience space, silence, sound and stability. It is important to keep focused on the space, sound, silence and stability, which maintains the open neutral channel.
